Lodi - Michael Sika, Jr. 74, a lifelong resident of Lodi passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021. Born in Scranton, PA. Before retiring in 2010, Michael was former Chief of the County Detectives of the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office serving there for twenty-three years and was also an instructor for the Passaic County Police Academy for many years. Michael was a member and a trustee on the Honor Legion Police Dapartments State of New Jersey, a member and a past vice-president of Chiefs of County Detectives/ Investigators Association of New Jersey, the Passaic County, New Jersey and the International Police Chiefs Associations, the Italian American Police Society of New Jersey and a member of the New Jersey State P.B.A. Locals No. 265 and No. 600. He was a parishioner and a former usher at Corpus Christi R.C. Church in Hasbrouck Heights. a member of St. Michael's Knights of Columbus Council 2861 in Lodi and the Lodi Moose Club. Michael was predeceased by his parents Clara and Michael Sika and his sister Katherine Sika. Survivors include his wife Laura (nee DiFilippi) Sika, a step-son Nicholas Feo, his niece Jody Sika, many nieces, nephews, cousins and his extended family Paul Saulino, Sam Saulino and his wife Barbara, Millie (nee Saulino) Duva and her late husband Nick and Maria (nee Saulino) Sgro and her late husband Joseph. Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Wednesday, September 1st at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church 260 Boulevard Hasbrouck Heights at 10 AM. Entombment following at St. Nicholas Mausoleum, Lodi. Visitation Tuesday, August 31st from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
