Michael “Mike” F. Simon, 70, of Fond du Lac, died on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at his residence with family by his side. He was born on September 29, 1955, in Fond du Lac, the son of Roman and Helen (Schneider) Simon. Mike was an Ironworker who worked for Local 8 out of Milwaukee for 30 years. His great pride was telling people he worked on Miller Park. In his spare time, Mike liked to camp, skydive, go to his cottage in Wild Rose, fly remote-controlled airplanes, be a Mr. Fix-It, race dirt bikes, and play in his flower gardens.
He is survived by three siblings, Pat Simon, Kathy (Jerry) Ausloos, and Joe (Phyllis) Simon; three nieces, Toni Brunet, Lisa (Ken) Coye, and Lori (Gregg) Heller; six great nephews, Corey, Connor, and Cody Coye, and Jaymeson, Weston, and Nolan Heller; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Helen; significant other, Linda “Tootie” Moon; and great nephew, Ken Coye, Jr.
At Mike’s request, no services will take place. Cremation has taken place with burial to follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Fond du lac, at a later date.
