Michael J. Sinisi Jr.

Michael J. Sinisi, Jr., passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 22, 2024, just shy of reaching 100 years old in August.
He was born in E. Orange, N.J. to Michael J., Sr. and Marie (nee Forese) Sinisi. Over the course of his life, Michael lived in various communities, from E. Orange to Newark and Bloomfield, before settling in Cedar Grove, N.J.
His work ethic and passion for his family's business, M. Sinisi and Sons, Inc., based in Bloomfield, N.J., were evident from an early age. Under the guidance of his father, he learned the ropes of the business and eventually took the reins. During W.W. II, Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was honored with military accolades, including a Bronze Star for his courageous service in the European theater. His military service was a testament to his patriotism and sense of duty. He was also a faithful and devout parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church.
Predeceased by his parents, his beautiful wife, Geraldine (nee DeStefano) Sinisi and siblings, Nicholas Sinisi, Rose Strafaci, twin brother, Samuel Sinisi, Joseph Sinisi, Rose Louise Spano and Mary Sherry, he is survived by his children, Michael J. Sinisi and his wife, Vickie, Deborah Sinisi-Schiraldi and her husband, Domenic and Stephen S. Sinisi and his wife, Joann; grandchildren, Michael Sinisi and his wife, Caolan, Kristine Sinisi, Kellie Carsillo and her husband, Anthony, David Sinisi, Kaitlin Darby and her husband, Clint, Stephen Sinisi and his wife, Arianna, Dominique Schiraldi and Jessica Sinisi; great-grandchildren, twins, Kaden Joseph and Brogan Michael, Chase Anthony, Carter Michael, Chad Jacob and Michael John; siblings, Elizabeth Giambbista and Anthony Sinisi; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 25 from 4-7 p.m. at Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove. On Wednesday, June 26, relatives and friends may gather at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A Catholic Prayer Service will be offered at 11:00 a.m. with entombment and Military Honors to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair, N.J.
