Michael Patrick Smith, 52, passed away on August 12, 2025, in Lago Vista, Texas. Born on February 4, 1973, in Upland, California, Michael lived a vibrant life filled with creativity, adventure, and love. From an early age, Michael found inspiration from working in his family's entertainment industry, developing a deep appreciation for music, beauty, and event planning. This creative foundation shaped his dynamic personality and filled his many endeavors. Later in life, Michael co-founded Pleasure Hunter Charters, a yachting business based on Lake Travis in Texas. As Captain of the charter operation, he brought joy to countless clients by sharing unforgettable experiences on the water. His leadership and enthusiasm helped turn the business into a cherished part of the local community. Michael's greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Katie Parker-Smith; and their two sons, Drake Parker-Smith and Duke Parker-Smith. Whether watching sci-fi movies together or painting movie character models as a family, Michael treasured every moment with them. His sons were not only his legacy, but also his closest companions. A celebration of Michael's life will be announced to be held on Lake Travis, Texas, honoring the man who gave so much to those around him. Those who knew Michael remember him as gracious and quick-witted -always ready with a joke or helping hand. He loved fiercely and lived fully, embracing each day with energy and purpose. His presence lit up every room he entered and left lasting impressions on all who crossed his path. Michael Patrick Smith will be deeply missed. His legacy lives on through Drake and Duke and the enduring strength of the Smith name. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
