Michael A. Snedeker, 63, of Union, CT, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, MA, with his wife by his side after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Stafford, CT, he was the eldest son of Joan (Konopka) Snedeker and the late Gene E. Snedeker.
As a dedicated outdoorsman, Mike had a deep love for nature, spending countless hours hunting, fishing, and enjoying the beauty of the wilderness. Whether tracking game through the woods or casting a line into a quiet lake, he found peace and purpose in the great outdoors.
Mike worked as the head filtration operator for the City of Worcester's water treatment plant, where his hard work and dedication were evident to all who knew him.
Above all, Mike was a loving husband, father, and brother. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by his wife of 23 years, Sharon (Orzechowski) Snedeker; his daughter, Jacqueline Jolin; and his stepchildren, Shannon Sweeney and Melissa Maurice and her husband Jeff. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Sydney Summers, Amelia and Ella Maurice, Lexie Rollins and her husband Joe, and Brianna and Lily Sweeney, as well as his great grandchildren, Scarlet and Stella. Mike is also survived by his brothers, Richard Snedeker and his wife Debra, and Robert Snedeker and his wife Elizabeth Wehrli.
Family and friends are invited to gather in his honor on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. A reception will follow.
In remembrance of Mikes's love for the outdoors, memorial donations may be made to the Staffordville Rod and Gun Club, P.O. Box 211 A, Staffordville, CT 06077.
"A day spent in the woods or on the water is never a day wasted." May he forever rest in natures embrace.
