Michael Gary Spivey, age 39, of Dublin, GA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 16, 2023.
Michael was a lifelong resident of Laurens County and was born on March 26, 1984, to Rose Forth Spivey and the late Gary Steve Spivey. He was a graduate of West Laurens High School and attended Heart of Georgia Technical College where he obtained a Diesel Mechanic degree. He was recognized in the Who's Who Book of America for his accomplishments in Diesel Mechanic.
Michael was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his two children, Ethan and Skylar, whom he loved very much. They were his heart.
Michael is survived by his son, Ethan Spivey; daughter, Skylar Spivey, both of Dublin; mother, Rosie Spivey of Dublin; brothers, Bryan (Krystal) Spivey of Soperton and Daniel (Amanda) Spivey of Dublin; and his nephew and niece, Walker and Layne Spivey.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Kenny Rowland will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Jason Jones, Brandon Bailey, Steven Gore, Trent Pope, and Dudley Pope.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ethan and Skylar Spivey Educational Fund at Morris Bank.
