M. H. Atkins was born on Friday, December 28, 1956, to the late Huey and Rose Zennie Atkins. He was a member of Mitchell Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Atkins attended Johnson County High School and was employed by Cook Furniture, Johnson County Court House, and Shepard's Florist.
M. H. Atkins passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025. Mr. Atkins was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Atkins, two brothers, Huey Atkins, Jr., and Willie Atkins, and two sisters, Dororthy Fulton and Francise Harris.
He leaves to mourn his son, Marvin Ohara Johnson, and daughter, Casey Ann Outlaw; sisters, Virginia (Waymon) Holder, Tricilla Fluker, Ruth Scott, Shirley Scott, Mary Price and Vera Thomas; brothers, Waymon Scott and Wannie Scott, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
