Michael A. Squicciarini of Bay Terrace, passed away on Tuesday January 21 at the age of 94. Born in Brooklyn NY to the late Ignazio and Anna, Michael proudly served his Country in the United States Army from 1948 through 1950.
Michael worked for many years as Corrections Officer for the City of New York Department of Corrections. After his retirement he embarked on a new career as a School Bus Operator for the Mountainside Bus Company in Brooklyn.
Michael was an avid life long fan of the New York Mets, a passion which he passed on to his late wife and his daughters. In his leisure time he enjoyed bowling, taking the occasional trip to the race track to try his luck with the horses. Michael served as an Usher at St. Clare's Church for many years.
Michael was pre deceased by his devoted wife Gloria who passed in September of 2023. He is survived by his loving daughters Annette and Denise, his son in law Terry Holschuh and his fur babies Lucy and Chloe.
Family and friends are asked to gather on Friday from 2:00pm- 4:00pm and from 7:00pm-9:00pm at The John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals & Cremation Services 28 Eltingville Blvd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:45A.M. Saturday at St. Clares Church. Interment will follow in Ocean View Cemetery with Military Honors.
