He was born on September 17, 1956, in Elgin the son of Ernest and Harriett (Hovey) Stading, Jr.
He is survived by his children, Michael Stading, Jr., and Jennifer Bayness; five grandchildren, Tyler & Andrew Stading, and Katelyn, Carter, and Caden Bayness; and siblings, Diana Johns, David Stading, and Randall Stading.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Roxane and Sharon.
