Michael Edmund Steen Sr., age 82, of Weymouth, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Mike was raised and educated in Weymouth where he graduated Weymouth High in 1960. He married his beloved wife, Christine in 1965. After his military service in the Army from 1964-66' Mike and Christine settled in Weymouth to raise their children and have lived there since. Mike was a member of the Sea Scouts and volunteered at Boston Lighthouse.
Mike Graduated from Massachusetts Radio and Telegraph School in Boston in 1963. Mike worked with computers most of his life for Honeywell, Carney Hospital, and the Town of Braintree where he started the I.T. Department. Mike was a hard worker and made sure to set an example for his family while working hard to give them better opportunities.
Mike enjoyed boating and was a lifetime member of the Wessagussett Yacht Club in N. Weymouth. He also enjoyed fishing, metal detecting, wood working, gardening, painting, bread making, and listening to oldies. Sundays were for family dinners and card games.
Michael is survived by his wife of 60 years Christine Steen (Anderson) of Quincy, his loving children Michael Steen Jr. and his wife Mia of Abington and Brenda Sullivan of Weymouth, and his cherished grandchildren Jacob Van Lare and Abigail Sullivan also of Weymouth.
Michael's military burial service will be private at the Massachusetts National Cemetery located on Connery Ave. in Bourne, MA.
