Michael Studt

Michael Leslie Studt, of Wentzville, MO, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025 at the age of 73. Beloved husband to Cynthia "Cindy" M. Studt; devoted father of Julie (Jeff) Haislip and Laura (Brian) McAfee; loving grandfather of Michael, Conner, Hagen, Lindsay, Addison and Aaron; dear brother of Christopher Studt. 

Mike had a special place in his heart for animals, even rescuing countless critters throughout his years as a service technician for (formerly Laclede Gas), prior to his retirement. His passion for cars and motorcycles was evident, and he was always building and tinkering. These projects often included his grandchildren, creating lasting memories and passing on his skills. 

A captivating storyteller, Mike had a way with words that drew people in. He’d often begin with, “Stop me if I’ve told you this one…” but no one ever did; they couldn’t bear to miss his tales. 

Married to Cindy for 52 wonderful years, Mike was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He took great care of his family, always planning and ensuring they were well supported. Together, they cherished time at the lake in Whispering Valley on camping trips and created cherished family moments. 

Mike loved watching westerns, a pastime that reflected his appreciation for timeless stories and characters. He also enjoyed tinkering with anything he could get his hands on, always keeping himself busy and finding joy in the process. 

Mike was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His stories, his kindness, and his devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him. 

Memorials may be made in Mike's name to Stray Rescue of St. Louis or 5 Acres Animal Shelter.
