Michael Swenson

Michael Dale Swenson was born on April 30, 1959 to Dale and Karen Swenson.

He passed peacefully August 15, 2025. Michael graduated from Weber High School in 1977. He then served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sendai, Japan. Michael graduated from Brigham Young University in 1984, and attended dental school at the University Of Nebraska College Of Dentistry and graduated with high

distinction. He practiced dentistry for 28 years and loved his patients.

Michael married Jill Petersen in 1992. They were married 24 years. They have one daughter, Sierra.

Michael was an Eagle Scout. He loved camping and hiking with his family. He enjoyed family gatherings, watching BYU football, rock climbing, tennis and backpacking with his brothers and friends in the Wind River and Uinta Mountain Ranges. In his youth he frequently explored old mines and caves. He enjoyed serving as an Elders Quorum Instructor for many years.

Michael is survived by his daughter Sierra (North Ogden), his mother Karen Poulter Swenson (North Ogden), and his four younger siblings, Lisa Hunter (Richard; North Ogden), Lori Sorensen (Benny; Ivins, UT), Mitch Swenson (Vickie; Lehi, UT) and Kent Swenson (Jody; North Ogden). Michael was preceded in death by his father, Dale G. Swenson, and his grandparents. Internment will be at the Ben Lomond Cemetery in North Ogden. A memorial service was held in his honor.
