Michael Glen Tarr

Michael Glen Tarr passed away on January 12, 2026 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born September 28, 1952 to Kent Calvert Tarr and Vera Ailene Brooks Tarr in Oklahoma City, OK. Michael owned and successfully managed Prestige Travels for over 20 years.
Michael enjoyed cooking - it was a passion that was shared many times by family and friends. He also liked watching old movies and TV shows, and John Wayne, "I Love Lucy" and Doris Day were some of his favorites. From his early days in the banking industry to later in life in the travel business, he enjoyed meeting and getting to know people. His love of seeing new places led him all over the world, but he was always happy to get back home no matter where he traveled.
Michael became involved in the Cleveland Neighborhood Association, serving on the Board of Directors as well as treasurer for more than 20 years. He also coordinated countless neighborhood events, increasing neighborhood involvement as well as donations. He provided his considerable expertise on a variety of projects and was always willing to jump in and lend a hand.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Brooks Tarr; and son, Joe Kenneth Tarr. He is survived by his partner of 48 years, Dan Martin; son, John Michael Tarr; and brother, Robert Kent Tarr.
Viewing at Mercer-Adams will be Sunday, 11am-7pm with family present from 5-7pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at Mercer-Adams Chapel on Monday, January 19 at 2:00pm.
