Michael M. Thompson

Funeral services for Michael M. Thompson will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday morning, March 14, 2023, at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel. Immediately following, Father Tomasz Golab will administer the Rite of Committal at St. James Cemetery. Mr. Thompson, age 74, passed away peacefully Monday night, March 10, 2025, at the Jefferson Davis Extended Care Facility. Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral service, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Friday at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers are Bobby Thompson, Joel Thompson, Chuck Franzalia, and Dewayne Wallace.

Mike was born on February 23, 1951, in Kokomo, Indiana to William Louis and Doris Wayne Thompson.  A graduate of Bassfield High School, baseball and music were his loves and talents.  He bought an electric guitar with his cucumber money and self-taught himself as an artist.  Mike will always be remembered by sharing his "beautiful mind", which included a gift sense of humor.

Mr. Thompson is preceded in death by his parents, William and Doris Thompson; loving brother, William Wayne "Billy" Thompson; and his sister-in-law, Wanda Thompson.  

He will live on in the hearts of his sister, Lana Franzalia (Chuck) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; brother, Bobby Thompson; his nephews, Jeremy and Joel (Jonnie), great-nephew, Alec, all of Purvis; his niece, Danielle Staver (Matt), and great-nieces, Layla Marie and Lily Rose, all of Niceville, FL.
