Aransas Pass, Texas – Michael David Thurman passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 62.

Michael was born on January 31, 1963, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Nonette (Helmp) and Robert Thurman, Sr. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Michael was married to the love of his life, Olga, for 44 years. Throughout his life, he worked in several roles including as a fireman, truck driver, and mechanic. He was a man of many talents and passions. He especially enjoyed riding his motorcycle, floating down the river, BBQing his favorite ribs, and spending time outdoors with his grandchildren.

Michael was also a proud member of the Sheriff's Posse, where he would ride horseback with a group of men to help those in need-particularly in areas inaccessible by car.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Thurman, Sr. and Nonette Thurman, and his brother, Robert Thurman, Jr. (Teresa).

He is survived by his loving wife: Olga Thurman of Aransas Pass, Texas; his daughter: Elizabeth Ann Thurman (Oscar Morales) of Aransas Pass; and his beloved grandchildren: Adonis Morales and Michael Morales, also of Aransas Pass. He is also survived by his sister: Angie Starr (Wally) of Missouri; sister-in-law: Guadalupe Adame of Ingleside, Texas; and his cherished companions, Peanut Butter and Sheina; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends also mourn his passing.
