MICHAEL W. TOLIN
Michael W. Tolin, 74, of Canton, Ohio, died June 7, 2024, in the home.
He was born October 21, 1949, in Canton, the firstborn child of Robert and Beverly Tolin.
Michael graduated from Glenwood High School in 1967 and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving four years. He went on to work at Canton Drop Forge where he retired after 42 years.
He is survived by his wife, Canice Tolin whom he married on November 27, 1971; their six children, David (Kimberly), Katie (Sean Venosdale), Stephen (Michelle), Douglas (Erin), and Jean Ann (Michael) Elefterin of Canton and Patti (Cory) Cutlip of Elizabeth, West Virginia; their 17 grandchildren, Jared, Ryan, Tyler, Nathan, Megan, Brady, Carter, Cassidy, Riley, Connor, William, Aliyah, Gavin, James, Lainey, Henry and Phillip; and surrogate son, Scott Addessi.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Adam Cutlip.
A reserved person, Michael devoted his life to providing for his family. He loved spending time with all of his grandchildren, big family gatherings and watching everyone grow and prosper. His greatest pride and joy was his family, especially the close bond they shared with one another.
The family will receive guests from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Lamiell Funeral Home, Canton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Christ the Servant Parish, Canton. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Massillon.
