William Slater II Funeral ServiceMichael Torcasi 1946 – 2025 Michael Torcasi, 78, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Greentree, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Suzanne Torcasi, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and laughter. Michael was a proud and loving father to Sean Torcasi (Meredith Alexander) and Liz McCurry (Danny), a cherished brother to Randy Torcasi (Maureen) and Michele Marker (Steve), and an adoring grandfather to Maren, Miles, Coen, Nora, Ada, and Thea — each of whom brought him tremendous joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Angela Torcasi. A proud member of the U.S. Army, Michael carried his sense of integrity, discipline, and honor throughout his life. He was known for his quick wit, warm heart, and impeccable sense of style — always looking dapper until the very end. An avid reader and lifelong learner, Michael loved golfing, cheering on Penn State football, and spending time with family and friends. A 1968 graduate of Penn State, he went on to serve his country proudly before building a successful career as a CPA and business owner. He retired in his early 60s to spend more time with Suzanne, the love of his life. Michael’s legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in all who were fortunate to know him. A celebration of his life will be held at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15220, on Monday, October 27, 2025 from 4–8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 11:00 am in St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, St. Margaret of Scotland Church, 310 Mansfield Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15220. Burial to follow in The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s memory to Good Samaritan Hospice, 146 Neely School Road, Wexford, PA 15090, or online at Concordialm.org. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Michael’s kind and gracious neighbors for their support during his illness. In his final days, Michael found peace surrounded by family, the beauty of fall, and the hummingbirds that visited him daily on the porch. www.slaterfuneral.com
