In Loving Memory of Michael A. Torres September 9, 1962- June 21, 2025 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Miguel Angel Torres known to many as Mikey T or to the family as Tada. Born in Bauta, Cuba in 1962, Mike came to the United States at just four years old and was raised in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. He was a true lover of life, Mike had a passion for football-an unwavering fan of the Washington Redskins. He enjoyed the simple pleasures: casting a fishing line on a quiet afternoon, lighting up a Cuban cigar with a cold beer in hand, blasting The Rolling Stones or riding his motorcycle. His voice, laughter, the jokes and stories will echo in the hearts of all who knew him. Weekends often found him at the flea market, where he proudly ran his antique and collectibles stand or in upstate NY. He was always the life of the party known to be very charming, social and charismatic. Mike was happiest when surrounded by friends and family. Above all, his greatest joy came in his role as a grandfather. He was endlessly proud of his granddaughter, Aria, who brought a new light to his world just one year ago. Mike is survived by his loving parents, Inelda and Eldelberto; his children, Kyle Torres and his wife Brielle, and their daughter Aria, as well as his daughter Jennifer; his brother John Torres and sister-in-law Carol; his nephew John Torres; his niece Kathleen Giannone and her husband Michael, along with their children, Benjamin and Angelina. He is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mike will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of Michael's life will be held at Conte's Funeral home in Elmwood Park on Tuesday, June 24th from 3-7pm, where friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, and honor a life well lived. Forever remembered. Forever missed.
