Michael Tramte, 77, of Green Bay, passed away on November 15, 2023. He was born April 15, 1946 to the late Anthony and Annette (Javorsky) Tramte in Milwaukee. Mike graduated from Pius XI Catholic High School in 1964 and from UW Madison in 1969.
On June 30, 1973, he married Barbara Powers and they had two daughters, Jamie and Caitlin. The four of them enjoyed spending time in Door County. Mike also enjoyed coaching his daughter's sports teams, Notre Dame JV Tennis, and recreational soccer.
Mike's other interests included coin and token collecting. Over the years he was a member of the American Numismatic Association (ANA), the Milwaukee Numismatic Society (MNS), Numismatists of WI (NOW), and the National Token Collectors Association (NTCA). He also served in leadership roles for NOW and the NTCA.
Mike worked as a Revenue Agent for the Internal Revenue Service, retiring in 2010, after 37 years of service. Upon his retirement Mike was awarded the Albert Gallatin Award, which is the Treasury's highest career service award.
Michael is survived by his wife, Barbara, daughters: Jamie (Jon) Brassfield and Caitlin (Steve) Tramte, grandchildren: Adah, McCartney, Zanna and Obadiah, grandpup: Gemini, sister, Nanette (Dr. Timothy) Tully and nieces: Anne (Jason) Hoeksema, Jean (Seamus) Flaherty, and Mary (Jeremy) White and their families.
The family would like to extend a thank you to Unity Hospice and Cardinal Ridge Residential Care for their care and support to Michael and Barbara.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 4:00pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 6:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay.
The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of donations to Family & Childcare Resources of NEW.
