Michael Stanley Truly “Mike” died of a heart attack Wednesday, May 20, 2025, in Baton Rouge, LA. He was born in Shreveport, LA on June 12, 1970. Mike was the son of Don and Gayle Truly. He is also survived by his siblings, Donny Truly, Tricia Rabalais (Toby) and Lisa Busby; uncle, Stan Lee Fulcher; and aunt, Sharon Fulcher.
Mike graduated from Woodlawn High School and attended McNeese State University. He moved to Texas and worked in the health care industry. He returned to Baton Rouge and worked in the restaurant business. He enjoyed living in a camp on the Amite River in solitude and being close to nature. He was a talented oil painter, an avid reader and became immersed in the Holy Bible. Mike was also an avid sports fan, especially LSU football and hockey.
All who loved Mike will miss him, his quick smile, and quiet presence. Funeral arrangements have been made at Resthaven Funeral Home. A private service will be set at a later date.
