Michael Carl Ulmer, 62, passed away in Pacific Junction, Iowa, on January 4, 2026. Mike was born June 13, 1963, at Offutt AFB, Neb., to Carl and Ann (Pavich) Ulmer. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1981. Throughout his career, he worked at ASARCO, Griffin Pipe, and Metropolitan Utilities District until he retired in June 2024. He was an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman. He was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Kansas City Chiefs. Mike had a great sense of humor with a long history of pranking his family, especially his nephews and nieces. He loved nature and enjoyed capturing pictures of wildlife on his property and sharing with friends. Mike is preceded in death by his parents and best friend, Jeff Kellar. He is survived by his sisters, Carol (Regie) Edmondson of Pacific Junction, Iowa, twin sister, Marilyn (David) Wilson, Council Bluffs, Iowa; brother, Robert (Diana) Ulmer, Omaha, Neb.; nieces, Kristin McCoy (Andy), Lindsey McCoy (Trevor), Lauren (Nate) Underwood, Courtney Wilson (Casey); nephew, Ryan (Hailey) Edmondson; great-nephews, Eric McCoy (Tatum), Holden Underwood; great-nieces, Charlotte Edmondson, Evelynn Underwood, Maryn Underwood; his girlfriend, Teri Kannedy; and many cousins and friends.

Visitation for family and friends, Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by graveside service at St. Joseph Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Walnut Hill Reception Center, 1350 E. Pierce St.
