Michael G. Updyke

Michael G. Updyke, of Fairless Hills, PA, died Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia after a long battle with heart disease. He was 56 years old.
Born and raised in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, and a 1985 graduate of Father Judge High School, Michael has resided in Falls Township for the past several years.
After high school, he achieved his Bachelor of Arts degree from La Salle University and obtained his MBA in Marketing from St. Joseph's University.
Mike had been employed as a Senior Content Strategist/Editorial Designer for Bank of America for many years, working from home and their Princeton, NJ office.
He enjoyed many hobbies and interests including DC and Marvel comic books, movies, music, especially that of Elvis Presley and The Beatles, reading, and writing. However, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and immediate family was most important to him.
Michael is survived by his wife of 10 years, Irene M. (Griffiths) Updyke; his children; Cierra Morris (Holden); Patric Lees; Tyler Lees ( Gabriella Maiorano); Carrie Lees; and his loving grandchildren; Dakota and Harley Morris, and Violet Lees.
Son of the late Gene Updyke, Sr., he will also be sadly missed by his mother; Catherine Updyke, his brother; Eugene "Skip" Updyke, Jr. (Marisa), his sister; Terry Armandi (Christopher), his nieces; Becca and Ella Armandi, Isabel and Samantha Updyke, extended family members, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at the Beck-Givnish Life Celebration Home, Inc., 7400 New Falls Road, Levittown, PA 19055. His Life Celebration will follow immediately after. Interment will be held privately.
Michael's family encourages you to wear clothing of his favorite musicians or pop culture interests (DC, Marvel, Star Wars, The Beatles, Elvis Presley).
