Michael "Mike" Watt, a cherished soul known for his love of the outdoors and his kind-hearted nature, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, in Evansville, Indiana. Born on April 21, 1979, in Danville, Virginia, Mike's zest for life and infectious laughter left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Mike was the beloved child of Shirlene Elliott and the late Wallace Watt. He grew up surrounded by the love and camaraderie of his siblings, Richard (and his wife Christina) Watt, Terri Greer, Kayce (and her husband Brandon) Jarrett, and Cindy Burnett. Nieces: Emily, Greer, Madison Greer, Heaven Watt, Sybil Watt, Carolyn Watt and Rachel Watt and Nephews: Hunter Greer and Isaac Watt as well at his step father George Elliott. Mike's family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

From a young age, Mike exhibited a profound connection with nature. His passion for fishing and exploring the wilderness was more than a hobby; it was a way of life that brought him immeasurable joy. Mike's friends and family often found themselves alongside him on these adventures, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Mike's kindness was as vast as the great outdoors he adored. He had an innate ability to make everyone around him feel loved and valued. His generosity of spirit extended beyond him immediate circle, touching the lives of many within his community.

His laughter was a melody that resonated in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Mike's sense of humor and light-hearted approach to life were contagious, often bringing smiles to faces even on the cloudiest of days.

As we bid farewell to Mike, we hold tight to the memories of his unwavering love, his laughter, and the sense of wonder he carried with him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, a testament to the life he lived and the people he touched.

Mike's presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire us. As we look to the natural world he so adored, we find comfort in knowing that him essence is woven into the beauty of the rivers he fished, the trails he walked, and the sunsets he watched.

We take solace in the knowledge that Mike's journey continues in a place as beautiful and serene as the wilderness he so loved. His memory will forever be a beacon of light for his family, his friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have been a part of his life.
