Michael "Mike" Martin Wilbanks, 80, of Laurens and husband of Yvonne Snow Wilbanks, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Prisma Laurens County Hospital.
Born in Seneca, he was the son of the late Jesse Martin and Derrel Woolbright Wilbanks. A veteran of the SC National Guard, Mike proudly served as an industrial engineer at Milliken for 45 years before retiring. He was a member of the Association of Technical Industrial Engineering. (ATIE), a Mason, and lifetime member of Palmetto Lodge #19. Mike was an active member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church and found joy in serving others, particularly through his many years of service in the church kitchen.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Jill Wrobel (Seth) and Jeff Wilbanks (Wendy); grandchildren, Marshall Wilbanks (Cailyn), Morgan Wilbanks, Jacob Mitchell, Luci Wilbanks, Taylor Wrobel (Austin Herzog), and Chloe Wrobel; great grandchild, Lucas Wilbanks; sister, Linda Owens-Hansen (Louis); niece, Kim Jedlicka (Jeff), nephew, Chris Snow (Stacy Seay); and a brother-in-law, Harrison Cleveland.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Theresa Wilbanks Cleveland.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Laurens City Cemetery conducted by Rev. Alex D. Henderson. The family will greet friends at the cemetery immediately following the graveside service.
