Michael Keith Wilkinson, 62, of Garrettsville, OH, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024. He was born January 18, 1962, in Youngstown, OH, to the late Bert Harold and Rose Marie (nee Toth) Wilkinson, Sr.
He attended James A. Garfield High School and Maplewood Vocational School where Mike earned a degree in small engine repair. Upon graduating with the class of 1980, he continued his education and earned certification as an HVAC technician. He owned and operated Mike’s Heating and Cooling. Mike dedicated 27 years honoring Alfred Couch’s final wishes by caring for the Couch Farm in Hiram, ensuring the farm was organically farmed and remained undeveloped. He appreciated rising early to star gaze and begin the day with the birds along with playing chess, guitar, fishing, and riding motorcycles with family and friends.
Mike will be deeply missed by his siblings, Bert Wilkinson Jr., Richard (Luanne) Wilkinson, Debra Wilkinson Reed, Natalie (Steve) Boey, Judy (Greg) Macek, nephews and nieces, and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Wilkinson.
Please join the family for a graveside service Monday, November 11, 2024, 11:00 a.m., at Meadow Brook Memorial Park, 1211 State Road NW Warren, OH 44481, where he will be lovingly placed with his parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to remember Mike by painting an Alice Chalmers or helping a farmer. Services have been entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
