Michael A. Wilson, 69, passed away on January 14, 2024. He was born on October 12, 1954, to Allen and Geraldine Wilson in Henderson, Kentucky.
Mike proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked as Maintenance Director at Community Action Program of Evansville for 40+ years. He was a member of New Hope Community Praise Band, Evansville RC Planes Club, and Indiana Carpenters Union. He enjoyed coaching baseball in the Bambino League for 14 years. He loved golfing, remote-controlled planes, woodworking, and attending his granddaughters' basketball, softball, and track. His most loved and his most important role was PaPaw.
Mike is survived by his wife Diane; children Jason Wilson of Henderson, Hannah Brewer (Cameron) and Glen Spradley (Angela) of Evansville, Amanda (Ryan) Phillips, and Josh Moore (Samantha) of Henderson; grandchildren Kaylee Wilson, Allie Johnson, Ava Spradley, Molly Phillips, Ella Phillips, Tyler Phillips, Taylor Moore, Addison Moore, Hailey Moore, Presley Eggleston, Maximus Nunn; and brother Don Wilson of Noblesville, IN.; close personal friends Steve Thomas, Donald Suggs, Tony Schauberger.
He was preceded in death by his brother Ronnie Wilson.
Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Sunset Funeral Home, and service to begin on January 18, 2024 at 10am at New Hope Community Church located at 5422 Vann Road, Newburgh, IN 47630 and a burial to directly follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
