Michael "Pastor Mic" Dwayne Winfrey, a beloved Pastor and charismatic presence, passed away on August 3, 2025, in Cedar Hill, Texas. He was born on December 15, 1965, in Des Moines, Iowa. Pastor Mic dedicated his life to serving others and exemplified a profound love for God that touched the lives of many.
As a pastor, he was well-known for his playful spirit, sense of humor, and loveable nature, making him a cherished figure in his community. His passion for fashion was as notable as his spiritual commitment, reflecting his charismatic personality. Among his proudest accomplishments were his journey into the pastoral ministry and the strong, loving family he built and nurtured throughout his life.
The Winfrey family requests that all guests attending the services wear all white in honor of their fallen angel, a fitting tribute to a man who radiated light and joy.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the following services:
A viewing will be held on August 15, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 8:15 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. This will be followed by a wake service from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the same location.
The next day, August 16, 2025, another viewing will take place from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, leading into a funeral service at 10:00 AM at Concord Church, located at 6808 Pastor Bailey Drive, Dallas, TX 75237.
Michael "Pastor Mic" Dwayne Winfrey will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his faith, his family, and his vibrant spirit. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
