It is with profound sadness that we announce that Michael "Mikey" Young gained his wings on February 8, 2026 at the age of 46 years old, entering eternal peace and rest. Mikey was a devoted husband, a loving and proud father, a cherished son, and a protective, caring brother. He was born on May 17th in Inglewood, CA, to his beloved mother and father, Joanne and Dwayne Grayson. Mikey entered the world with light that will go on to brighten the lives of so many.

Mikey was known for his infectious, bright personality that naturally drew people to him. He loved making others happy and had a special gift for bringing joy into every room he entered. His smile was unforgettable, and his warmth made people feel instantly welcomed.

Mikey was incredibly proud of his two beautiful children. Being their father was his greatest honor and joy. He loved them deeply and spoke of them often with pride and admiration; they were the center of this world.

As a brother, Mikey shared a close family connection with his sister that remained important to him throughout his life.

Mikey loved his wife with his whole heart and cherished the life that they built. She was his partner, his strength, and the love of his life.

Mikey had a lifelong passion for baseball, football, and coaching. He was happiest when he was coaching, welcoming every family and player into his extended family and celebrating their successes as his own.

Mikey had a true passion for the Philadelphia Eagles. Game days were full of excitement as he cheered them on with unmatched enthusiasm. Watching Eagles games was one of his favorite pastimes, especially when surrounded by family.

Mikey leaves behind his wife, Kelley Young; children, Mikey Young Jr. and Keiley Young; mother and father, Joanne and Dwayne Grayson; and sister, Dahlila Mosely, along with many family members and friends who will forever carry his light in their hearts.

A Viewing will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Fremont Memorial Chapel, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service beginning at 12:15 p.m.

Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the love, laughter, and joy he gave so freely. His spirit lives on in the smiles he inspired, the memories he created, and the family and friends he loved so deeply.
