Michal Bajus Sr. passed away unexpectedly in La Paz, Bolivia, on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the age of 63. He was born on September 3, 1961, in Malastów, Poland. Michal was a devoted husband, a loving father, a devout Catholic, and a friend to all. He lived a purposeful life guided by kindness, generosity, and integrity. Michal is best remembered as a silent servant to anyone in need. He was a welcoming and hospitable spirit with a vivacious personality, easily forming meaningful connections at every turn in life. He possessed an extraordinary gift for recognizing the values of others and uncovering hope in every situation.
Michal is truly unforgettable. Family and friends consistently describe him as "a light" and "an angel on earth." His legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Michal will be reunited with his son Michael Bajus Jr. He is survived by the love of his life and wife, Dora Bajus; his children, Alejandro Marcelo Acosta, Ela Bajus, Fabiana Baltazar, and Emily Bajus his granddaughter; his uncle, who welcomed Michal when he first immigrated to the U.S.; and a large, loving family of siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and in-laws spanning the U.S., Poland, Bolivia, and beyond.
Family welcomes relatives and friends on Friday, November 29th from 4pm to 8pm at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford, CT. Funeral services will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, November 30th at St. Vladimir's Cathedral, 24 Wenzel Terrace, in Stamford, CT. Interment will follow to St. John Cemetery, 25 Camp Avenue, in Darien, CT.
