October 14, 1944 – March 27, 2025
Michaline Lenceski, age 80 of Carleton, passed away with her family by her side on March 27, 2025, at Corewell Health Trenton Hospital.
Born on October 14, 1944, in Detroit, Michaline was one of three children born from the union of Louis and Josephine (Zawaska) Taraszkiewicz. Michaline attended and graduated from Mercy High School in Farmington Hills. After graduation, she worked as an Executive Secretary for General Motors.
In her younger years Michaline was a very accomplished horse rider. She competed and jumped big thoroughbreds. When she wasn't found on the back of a horse, she was in the bowling alley bowling on the local leagues. Michaline enjoyed spending her summers at her cottage on Lake Huron in Harbor Beach. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and flea marketing. Her most precious time was spent with her loving daughter, Ann Marie. Michaline was a big supporter of Stepping Stones Therapeutic Riding Program for the disabled. She loved going out to the barn watching the horses bring big smiles to the riders' faces.
To cherish in her memory, Michaline leaves behind her loving daughter, Ann Marie (Kurt Kazmierski) Lenceski; sister, Bernice (Richard) Baudro; one niece, Nancy (John) Dent; two nephews, Robert (Jackie) Scherff and John (Gloria) Szczesniak, Sr.; several great nieces and nephews, Joseph Scherff, John Szczesniak, Jr., Zoe Szczesniak, and Gracelyn Scherff.
Michaline is preceded in death by a brother who was a Marine that passed in the line of duty, Joseph Taraszkiewicz and a nephew, James Szczesniak.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life with be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
