Survivors include his mother, Linda Louise Matthieu of Scott; one brother, Mitchell Matthieu of Arnaudville; niece, Desiree Olivier; nephew, Dustin Olivier; great-niece, Abigail Olivier; and great-nephew, Logan Olivier.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Matthieu; and both sets of grandparents: Teddy and Nana Arceneaux; and Emick and Lorienz Matthieu.
Micheal was a graphics designer at EDG. Prior to working there, he was employed by Fenstermaker for six years. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan.
