Mike is survived by his wife, Bernadette McLean Maxfield, children Eric J Maxfield and Grace L Maxfield, grandchildren Meadow McMahon and Lennon McMahon, two brothers, Richard (Mary) Maxfield and Robert Maxfield, and a host of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Funeral arrangements were private. Memorial services (in NY and Hawaii) will be held at later dates.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to American Diabetes Association
The family is being assisted by Clements Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. in Durham. Online condolences can be made at www.clementsfuneralservice.com.
