Michele "Shelly" Eiter, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, at the age of 69 in
East Liverpool, Ohio.
Born on August 12, 1956, in
McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, Shelly lived a life rooted in love, compassion, and quiet strength. She had a natural warmth that drew people in and made them feel at ease-whether you knew her for years or had just met her, Shelly had a way of making you feel like family.
For many years, Shelly dedicated herself to her work as a Registration Supervisor at UPMC Children's, where her kindness and patience left a lasting impression on both her colleagues and the families she served. She approached her work the same way she approached life-with empathy, care, and a genuine desire to help others.
Above all else, Shelly's greatest joy and proudest role was being a mother. Her love for her family was unwavering, and she found her happiest moments simply being together-laughing, sharing stories, and creating memories that will now be treasured forever.
Shelly also found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved camping and spending time in nature, where she could relax and unwind. The beach held a special place in her heart, where the feel of sand beneath her feet and the sound of the waves brought her peace. She also had a knack for antique shopping, always on the lookout for hidden treasures and meaningful finds.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Viola (Roznowski) Kasnot, whose love and guidance remained with her throughout her life.
Shelly leaves behind those who will carry her love with them always: her devoted husband of 34 years, Dave Eiter; her twin sons, Ryan Eiter and his wife Rachel, and Brandon Eiter; and her stepdaughter, Debra Christopher. She will be deeply missed not only by her family but by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Though her absence leaves a profound void, Shelly's love, kindness, and gentle spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Calcutta.
