Richard Andrason Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Arner Funeral Chapel - Chester on Mar. 17, 2026.
Richard Lee Andrason, of East Liverpool, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on March 17, 2026, at the age of 81.

Born on November 13, 1944, a quiet and steadfast man, Richard lived boldly in his younger years, embracing adventure at every turn. He found exhilaration in racing cars, spent countless hours boating, and treasured fishing trips along the Outer Banks.

He and his wife, Janice, were well-known in the community for their shared passion for antiquing and for running their antique store, where they met and built lasting friendships over the years. Their favorite pastime was enjoying a coffee or a cheeseburger while catching up with their buddies at McDonald's.

Sixty-one years ago, Richard married his best friend, Janice, beginning a devoted partnership that became the heart of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marcella Andrason. He is survived by his wife, Janice; his children, Jackie Smith (Dave), Jodi Zwang (Larry), Justin Andrason (Amber), and Jessica Schaub (Blake).

Three siblings also survive: Cheryl Chapman, John "Jack" Andrason (Kay), and James "Jimmy" Andrason.

He also leaves behind six grandchildren: Heather Brick Sanders and her wife, Chandra, Jordan Smith, Mitchell Zwang, Logan Schaub, Kendall Zwang and Cara Schaub, as well as two great-grandchildren, Seth and Gabriela Almodovar-Saunders.

No formal funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please send prayers as Richard now rests peacefully in the arms of the Lord.
