Michele Anne Muzio of Hudson Ave in Stillwater passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Saratoga Hospital with her family by her side. She was 67 years old.
Born on August 19, 1958 in Troy, NY to the late Edward J. Bryan Jr. and Percilla Aldrich.
Michele was a graduate of Stillwater High School, Class of 1976.
On Sept 9, 1977 she married the love of her life, Donald J. "Muzzy" Muzio and together they raised their family in Stillwater, NY.
Michele worked at Price Chopper in Mechanicville, NY for many years where she was able to connect with so many people from around the area. Her greatest achievement was raising her children and taking great care of her grandchildren and the children of cherished friends. In later years she worked for a few area daycares, most recently retiring from Room to Bloom Learning Center in 2024. She loved being the smile and hug for so many kids, helping them start their day off right. Michele's love of Stillwater and her deep-seated roots are what made her the perfect person to answer questions about her home town's generational history. Michele loved her family deeply, and she loved her friends like family. Some of her most cherished memories were her lunches with the "Golden Girls" and her many breakfasts with Tammy and Phyllis. Michele spent countless summers camping at Moreau with her cherished friend, Gail, and their shopping trips are something she always was excited for.
Michele learned to sew at a very young age, a skill she inherited from her mother. She would put those skills to use for those she loved, making curtains, crafting custom burp cloths, and her most recent project, a quilt for her newly married grandson, Anthony.
Survivors beside her loving husband Don, include her children: Amanda (James) Phillips of Stillwater, Marc (Debbie) Muzio of Box Elder, South Dakota, Aimee (Anton) Salecker of Stillwater and Mackenzie (Dave) Murray of Clifton Park. The greatest joy were her 7 grandchildren- Anthony (Jennifer) Carpenter, Destiny Long, Deidra Long, Andrew Carpenter, Charisma Salecker, Jaxson Muzio and Wyatt Murray. Her brothers and sisters: Adrienne Revers of Stillwater, Daria (David) Britt of Stillwater, Marise Bryan of Mechanicville, Dionne Bryan of Mechanicville, Darren (Laura) Bryan of Charles Town, West Virginia and James (Mary) Bryan of Stillwater. Her Aunt, Myrna Gaylord of North Carolina and her Uncle, Milt "Butch" (Jean) Aldrich of Stillwater and in-laws, Gary (Linda) Muzio of Stillwater. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025 from 4 to 7 pm at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Ave in Stillwater. A celebration of life will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 7 pm with the Reverend Pamela Woodman officiating. In lieu of flowers the family wishes for memorial donations to be made to the Eldercare Transportation Program of the Stillwater Area Community Services Center.
