Michele Louise Stacey, born on March 16, 1964, in Riverside, California, and a long-time resident of Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, in Middletown, Ohio, after a valiant battle. She was 60 years old. Michele leaves behind a legacy filled with love, spunk, and creativity that will be cherished by her family and friends.
With a distinguished career that spanned three decades, Michele retired as the Director of Marketing at Miracle Ear, where her contributions were marked by innovation and dedication. Beyond her professional achievements, she was known for her vibrant personality, described as spunky and a tiny bit stubborn. Michele had a keen eye for art and enjoyed birdwatching, reading, and engaging in various crafts, all of which reflected her engaging and creative spirit.
Michele is survived by her devoted husband, William "Bill" Stacey; her daughter, Kristie Whittaker; and her cherished grandchildren, Tami Whittaker, Hunter Quillens, and Melanie Quillens. She shared a close bond with her siblings Chris (Steven) Gillespie Neus, Michael (Christie) Gillespie, and Shaun Gillespie. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by her sister-in-law, Sherri (Dirk) Rottgen, and her brothers-in-law Lenny Stacey, Chris Stacey, Kenny Stacey, Terry (Kelly) Stacey, George (Jennifer) Stacey, and Shawn (Connie) Stacey. Michele’s fur-babies, Spanky and Baxter, will also miss her dearly, as will many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Jan (nee Burgess) Gillespie, her son, Justin Whittaker, and sisters-in-law Debi Halcomb and Babette Stacey, all of whom are remembered with love.
The life of Michele Louise Stacey will be honored during visitation on March 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home in Mason, Ohio. A Celebration of Life will follow from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. Following the celebration, a graveside service will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mason, Ohio.
Memorial donations may be directed to the charity of your choice.
Michele’s indomitable spirit and unwavering love for her family will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her.
