Michelina Del Rosso, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2024, at the age of 95. Born on September 29, 1928, in Nusco, Avellino,Italy, Michelina brought a touch of Italian warmth and elegance to everything she did throughout her long and vibrant life.
Michelina was married to the late Robert Del Rosso. Together, they built a family and life in their adopted home of Queens, New York. She is survived by her loving children: Robert, Peter, Michael, Paulette, and Thomas. Michelina’s legacy also includes 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who will forever remember her for her love, wisdom, and the delicious meals she affectionately prepared.
A woman of refined tastes, Michelina had a passion for cooking, often delighting her family and friends with traditional Italian dishes that reminded them of their heritage. Her kitchen was a place of joy, where aromas of simmering sauces created a sense of home and togetherness. Michelina’s love for opera and Italian culture was evident in the way she lived her life. She had a keen sense of fashion and always carried herself with grace and dignity. Her impeccable style and warm smile left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Michelina’s life was a testament to the enduring strength and beauty of Italian traditions. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness, culinary talents, and unwavering love for her family.
If you would to make a donation in her memory, I’m sure she would want to help the future singers and musicians she loved by making a donation to either of these charities.
