Survivors include her husband, Richard Askew; daughter Jennifer Balsamo and her husband, Jeremy; grandson, Aiden Balsamo; and brothers, Mike Arena and his wife, Kathy, and Dave Arena and his partner, Bruce Ryrie.
She is proceeded in death by her parents.
A gathering of Mrs. Askew's family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m., until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, August 17, 2025, at First Baptist Church Nederland, 1911 Nederland Avenue, Nederland. Her funeral will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 18, 2025, at First Baptist Church Nederland, under the direction of Broussard's, 505 North 12 Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
