Michelle Calvert Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Naville & Seabrook Funeral Home - Market Street Chapel from Dec. 10 to Dec. 19, 2025.
Michelle Rae (Shickle) Calvert, 64, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away in the early morning hours of December 10th. She was born on October 14, 1961, her parents were Mary (Cotner) Reed and Danny Reed. Michelle worked as a fulfillment specialist at the local Amazon warehouse and distribution center.
Michelle's greatest joy in life was her family. She loved her children deeply and took immense pride in her grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness, laughter, and purpose. Every moment spent with them-whether during family gatherings, phone calls, or quiet time together-was treasured and held close to her heart.
She had a deep love for music and movies, which brought her comfort and joy throughout her life. Music often filled her space, and favorite films were watched again and again, reflecting her appreciation for storytelling and the simple pleasures that made life meaningful.
Michelle was a die-hard University of Kentucky fan and a loyal Philadelphia Eagles supporter. Game days mattered to her, and she cheered on her teams with enthusiasm and pride.
She also shared a special bond with her beloved pup, Kobe Lee. As a proud dog mom, he was her constant companion and a source of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love.
Those who knew Michelle will remember her loving heart, her strong connection to family, and the warmth she brought into the lives of others. Her memory will live on through the love she shared and the many lives she touched.
Michelle was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Paula Glotzbach, Kathy Brodfuehrer, Laura Lee Bush, and Kimberley Buckel. Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Brandy Santora (Mark) and Lauren Skinner (Kyle); brothers, Robert Reed (Shelley), Bill Shickle, Scott Reed; grandchildren, Brynn Lewis, Ava Santora, Sophia Santora, Rory Skinner, Jensen Skinner; and Michelle's furry companion, Kobe Lee.
Memorial visitation for Michelle will be held at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral homes on Saturday, January 31, from 12:00PM – 3:00PM. Memorial services will follow visitation, at 3:00PM.
