Michelle Goebel, aged 68 of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on the morning of October 31, 2025 at Accura Healthcare of Marshalltown under the care of Suncrest Hospice.
Honoring Michelle’s requests, cremation has been arranged as well as a private family gathering to honor her life. She will be laid to rest at the Northwoods National Cemetery in Wisconsin next to her husband, Gary. Michelle Ann Dendor was born on July 1, 1957 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the third of five children born to Leonard and Millicent (Ackerman) Dendor. She grew up in Milwaukee and Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Michelle was a graduate of Oak Creek High School’s Class of 1975.
Michelle met her husband, Gary, in Denver CO. They were married in Waukegan, Illinois in 1984 and raised a son, Joshua. Over the years they lived in Colorado, Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa. Gary passed away in 2024.
Michelle worked as a waitress until health problems forced her retirement. She had a giving heart and crocheted many hats, mittens and afghans which she donated to help those in need. Michelle also created Christmas ornaments which she sold at craft fairs and gifted to family and friends.
Along with her husband, Gary, Michelle provided love and support for their grandchildren, Loreli, Dylan and Ella.
Those left to remember and cherish her memory are her son, Joshua Sean Goebel; her grandchildren, Loreli Goebel, Dylan Goebel and Ella Goebel; her siblings, Charlene (Kenneth) Kujawa, Jane (Ron) Meyer and Rebecca (Michael) Plautz; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Goebel; parents, Leonard and Millicent Dendor; and brother Gregory Dendor.
