Michelle Sheffield Linton, 51, of Cumming, GA, peacefully entered into eternal rest after bravely and fiercely battling brain cancer on August 26, 2023, leaving behind cherished memories and a profound impact on all who were blessed to know her. A beacon of love, compassion, and faithfulness, Michelle's life exemplified the virtues of humility, gratitude, and a profound respect for the beauty of all creation and the people that she loved.
Born on January 25, 1972, in Canton, GA, Michelle was the beloved daughter of the late Phyllis and Butch Sheffield. Throughout her journey on this earthly plane, Michelle embodied the sacred values of traditional Christianity, finding solace and spiritual nourishment within the folds of her chosen places of worship.
Michelle's radiant spirit guided her through a life filled with purpose and servitude. Michelle dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family and work, while her unwavering devotion and profound love made her a treasured mother to her three remarkable children. Whether it was crafting or decorating heartfelt creations or exploring the healing movements of yoga, Michelle discovered a deep sense of fulfillment in the company of loved ones and the wonders gifted to us by the divine.
Her kindhearted spirit and compassionate nature propelled Michelle to approach each day with intention and strength. Her devotion to personal and professional growth and a sound moral compass shone brightly during her time in the workplace, making a notable impact on all those fortunate enough to cross her path.
Michelle's true wealth manifested in her unwavering dedication to her family. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Michael Linton. Together, they instilled in their children, Cody Matheson, Madison Forbes, and Shelby Linton, the values of love, unity, and the pursuit of meaningful endeavors. She was a cherished mother-in-law to her son-in-law, Jake Forbes, and an adored sister to Shannon Stump. Michelle's profound love extended far beyond her immediate family, as she touched the lives of numerous friends, whose lives were forever transformed by her embracing presence and her infectious smile, even through the toughest of hardships.
A beautiful and reverent Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday. September 16th, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA. Family and friends are invited to gather during the visitation period from 1:00-3:00 p.m. to pay their respects and reflect upon the remarkable life that Michelle lived. Through words of prayer and sacred remembrance, her life and the richness it brought will be honored during the subsequent service.
As a testimony of devotion and testament to Michelle's noble character, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation. Such a charitable act will enable us to continue the fight against the illness that Michelle so bravely fought and ultimately defeated now being fully restored.
As we bid farewell to our beloved Michelle, we are reminded of the profound blessings she bestowed upon us during her time among us. May her humble spirit continue to guide and inspire us towards a path of kindness and grace. Through the certainty of her eternal resting place, let us take solace and gratitude in the knowledge that Michelle Linton has found eternal peace in the embrace of our Creator.
Go with God’s grace my Love, until we meet again…
