Michelle L. Murray, age 55, passed away on September 23, 2025. She was born on August 20, 1970 in Valparaiso, Indiana to Robert E. Shockley and Cheryl (Bellot) Shockley. Michelle attended Purdue University, where she earned 2 degrees in Political Science. She later worked as a benefits/safety manager and was working towards owning and operating a digital marketing business online. Michelle regularly attended Plainfield Christian Church alongside her husband, Mike. She enjoyed visiting the local Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby and various other crafting stores as she had her own crafts room where she lived. Michelle loved attending live music concerts and going out to dinner with Mike. She also loved her family dearly, was very proud of her children and had a special bond with her dog, Remington. Michelle is preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Shockley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home with service time of 3:00 p.m., where family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of services. Survivors include her loving husband, Mike Murray; son, Colin M. Murray; daughter, Katilyn M. Murray; mother, Cheryl Shockley; brother, Timothy (Brittany) Shockley; sisters, Caroline (David) Meager, Danielle (Keith) Modglin; sister in-laws, Kathy (Rick) Black and Sherry (Ron) Moody; nephews, Samuel, Declan and Easton Shockley; nieces, Jocelyn Meager, Kelsie Meager and Mira Modglin.
