Michelle L. Stawowczyk (1971-2025)
Michelle Stawowczyk, 54, wife of Paul Stawowczyk, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones after a six year battle with colorectal cancer on Friday, July 18, 2025.
Born in Norristown, Pennsylvania in 1971, she was the daughter of Bruce Lavoie and Charlotte Fiedler.
After high school, Michelle attended California University of Pennsylvania where she met the love of her life, Paul. They married two years later.
Her children Kyle and David were her proudest lifetime achievements.
Michelle was passionate about her role as a Learning Consultant with Bank of America, working for the company for 18 years. She truly loved her job and was grateful for the close friendships she built with her teammates around the country.
While not born in Pittsburgh, it is the city she proudly considered as her home. She was a diehard Pittsburgh Penguins fan and she enjoyed the Philadelphia rivalry of her "hometown" team. She loved traveling with Paul, and the thrill of discovering new bed & breakfasts for their weekend adventures. In her spare time, she enjoyed antique hunting and reading.
Michelle will always be remembered for her willingness to help others and her exceptional organizational skills. She was a selfless wife, mother and friend. She was a little ball of love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
Michelle was the beloved wife of 34 years to Paul Stawowczyk; loving mom of Kyle Stawowczyk, and David Stawowczyk; adored daughter of Bruce (Janet) Lavoie, and Charlotte (Richard) Fiedler; dear daughter-in-law of Clara and the late John W. Stawowczyk. Also survived by several sisters- and brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Arrangements by BEINHAUER, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-941-3211. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne Church, 400 Hoodridge Drive, Castle Shannon, PA 15234, 412-531-5964, on Saturday, August 9 at 9:30 a.m., with a Celebration of Life Reception to immediately follow - more details to come regarding location and time. Aunt Clare and family ,
Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for you with the loss of your precious daughter-in-law Michelle
Michelle sure did fight the good fight!
I know that the Blessed Mother Mary was waiting at Heaven´s gate , welcoming Michelle with open arms !
And Jesus saying " Life well lived"
May you , Paul and her 2 sons always feel the warmth of her loving arms wrapped around you .
With loving thoughts and a warm hug !
