Michelle L. Wright, 58, of Wolcottville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, surrounded in love by her family at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan, after a courageous five-year battle with cancer.

She was born on December 12, 1966, in Savannah, Georgia, to Roger L. and Trudy L. (Adams) Gray. Michelle spent her childhood in Fairmount, Indiana, and graduated from Madison-Grant High School in 1985.

On January 27, 1990, she married Joseph L. Wright in Fairmount. In 1993, the couple moved to LaGrange County, where they built their home and life together.

Michelle worked at Miller's Super Value for a few years before finding her long-term calling as a newspaper delivery driver for the Kendallville News-Sun, a position she faithfully held for more than 20 years. Her dedication and reliability earned her the respect and friendship of many in the community.

She loved the outdoors and took great pride in her garden, her flowers, and keeping her yard beautiful. At home, Michelle's love for cooking filled her kitchen with warmth, and she even found joy in keeping her home clean and organized. Above all, she cherished her family and the simple, meaningful moments they shared.

Michelle is survived by her husband, Joseph; her daughter and son-in-law, Julia Wright and John Wamhoff of Plainwell, MI; her mother, Trudy L. Gray of Fairmount, IN; and two sisters, Deanna Fields of Gas City, IN, and Dorinda Oswalt of Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roger L. Gray.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 West Michigan Street, LaGrange, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michelle's memory to City of Hope. https://www.cityofhope.org/
