Mickey Spann Edgin, 81, of Conway, Arkansas went to rest in heaven, Thursday, January 9, 2025. He was born on July 2, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Ralph Couch Edgin and Audie Mae (Spann) Edgin. Mickey was also preceded in death by Catherine Sue (Loudermilk) Edgin, wife of 47 years, Debra Sue Lowe, daughter, two brothers, Marlin and Phillip, sister Pat and William Todd Flake, great grandson.


Mickey is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue (Vest) Edgin, daughter, Dorie Perry (Kenny), grandchildren- Shane McNew (Jessie), Brittany (McNew) Curtis, Brittany Baxter (Cody), Katie Lowe, and Shawn Lowe, great grandchildren- Nixson, Wattson, Jackson, Brayden, Mayven, Kinsleigh, Hadleigh, Nathanial, Drew, Greyson, Emily, Gracie and Carrie. 

Stepsons- Brock Vest (Kimberly) and Eric Vest (Jill), grandchildren- Faythe Kenzie, Brycen Vest (Rachael), Blair Trezza (Thomas), Barrett Campbell, Gavin Vest, and Keegan Vest, great grandchildren- Camren, Tate, Conlee and Cambree. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and extended family of friends.


Mickey began his career as a fire fighter in March of 1964 with the Little Rock Fire Department, transferring to the North Little Rock Fire Department in April of 1969, retiring in January of 1999. He was a representative for legislation for the Fire Department Union and an alderman for the city of Mayflower Arkansas. 


He will have a celebration of life service at Antioch Baptist Church in Conway, AR to be announced. He will be interred at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway, Arkansas. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane McNew, Brycen Vest, Gavin Vest, Keegan Vest, Barrett Campbell, and Thomas Trezza.
