Mickey Smith

Addie Ray Smith, known as "Mickey", passed away peacefully on Monday morning, December 29, 2025 at the age of 78 in Cypress, Texas. Mickey was born September 29, 1947 in Latexo, Texas to parents, Sammie Ray Roberson and Addie Lou Neel.
After graduating from Huntsville High School, Mickey worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier. Later on, Mickey went on to work for Texas Department of Criminal Justice for 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed throwing family and friend get-togethers so much that she built a party house. Every holiday it was filled with family, friends, love and laughter. Most of all, she loved her family and adored her grandchildren.
Welcoming Mickey with open arms: her beloved son, Robert Nathan Smith; father, Sammie Ray Roberson; mother, Addie Lou Ray; step-father, Alton Ray, Sr.; brothers, Larry Roberson, Alton "Junior" Ray, Jr. of Huntsville; sisters, Betty Roberson, Alta "Sissy" Ray of Huntsville.
Mickey is survived by brother, Wayne Roberson; grandchildren, Destiny Renee Smith of Louisiana, Autumn Grace Smith of Porter, Jase Alton-Ray Smith of Porter; great-grandchildren, Serenity Fisher, Cambree Whittington, Blaydin Whittington all of Louisiana; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
