Mickie Sharon Raines Poindexter

Mickie Sharon Raines Poindexter, age 81, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. Her death was sudden and unexpected.
Mrs. Poindexter was born February 27, 1944, in Halls, Tennessee, and was the daughter of Frank Raines and Helen Frances Rice Raines. She lived in Forrest City most all of her life, was a homemaker, and was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was very active in the Caring Touch Quilting Group.
Mrs. Poindexter married John Paul Poindexter in 2000, and he preceded her in death in 2024. She is survived by one daughter, Bethny Norwood-Black, and husband, Shane, of Aurora, Colorado, one step-daughter, Mary Jo Ford, and husband, Brent, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, one step-son, John Paul Poindexter Jr., and wife, Barley, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and three grandchildren; Aluxzandria 'Lux' Black, Augustine Poindexter and Madison Poindexter.
Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, 2:00 P.M., Friday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 5:00 till 7:00 P.M. at Stevens Funeral Home, with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorials are to be made to the First Baptist Church,
