Miguel Angel Bagley, born on October 10, 1954, in Panama City, Panama, whose parents were, Ralph Eugene Bagley and Irma Belinda Cutler, was the first of four children. He spent his early years growing up in and around Central and South America before the family relocated to Sterling, Virginia, in 1974.
In 1976, Miguel enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed overseas in Nuremberg, Germany, until 1978. After returning to the United States, he was stationed at Ft Lewis Army Base. During his tenure there, he served as a Spc 5th Class Company Clerk and was honored with several commendations, including the National Defense Ribbon, a Good Conduct Medal, and the Sharpshooter Badge.
After leaving the Army in 1982, Miguel relocated to Portland, Oregon, to be with his family. Throughout his years, he dedicated himself to his career as a salesman. Miguel was an avid outdoorsman, finding joy in hunting and fishing. He held deep love for his family and his country, and he was a staunch supporter of veterans and their causes. Miguel will be remembered as a kind, generous, and selfless man who would go out of his way to help others. His infectious joy and immense compassion touched the lives of everyone around him. Miguel's heart was truly big, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
In his later years, Miguel moved to Vancouver, Washington, until his passing on October 28, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother, Irma, and his father, Ralph. Although Miguel never married or had children, he left behind a loving legacy of two brothers, Luis and Vern (Karen), one sister Danila (John), and several nieces and nephews whom he treated and cherished as his own children.
A service will be held on November 17 at 1 p.m. at Mt Scott Funeral Home. Miguel will be laid to rest with military honors at Willamette National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clark County Veterans Assistance Center. 907 Harvey St, Suite 200, Vancouver, WA 98660 or email [email protected]
