Miguel Antonio Santino Gonzales, age 31, left us unexpectedly on September 9, 2021. He was born in Waukesha on January 29, 1990. He studied and taught martial arts and attained his 1st degree blackbelt in both taekwondo and combat hapkido at a young age and was a member of the Boy Scouts for many years. Miguel was on the wrestling team and graduated from Waukesha South High School. Following graduation, he immediately left for Germany and spent 18 months there on an adventure, traveling all over Europe and learning culinary skills, which he continued to study at MATC when he returned to the US. He moved to Washington State for 10 years, made many good friends and had many more adventures. He enjoyed multiple interests and researched each one extensively. He loved science, horseback riding, hiking, rock collecting, meeting new friends, and helping everyone who asked.
Miguel will be greatly missed by his mother, Maria S. Gonzales; father, John Sheridan and brother, Roman (Shanna) Torres. He is further survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephew, great nephew, his godson Odin, his beloved cats Loki and Thor, and his many friends in Germany, Washington State and Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Al & Donna Mondloch.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 9:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave, Waukesha, WI 53186 (corners of Newhall and Hartwell Ave.) Private interment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Waukesha.

I was heart broken when I learned of Miguel´s passing. I worked with his Mom at WCTC and Miguel would pop into see her occasionally. By happenstance I was with his Mom one day when Miguel stopped by and we began talking. I loved to hear about his adventures, perspectives on multiple topics and the respect and love he showed to his mom. After our first meeting when he would stop and see his mom he often would run into me. Again we would connect on what was going on his life. He was such a sweet and caring young man and I looked forward to seeing him. Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for your mom who loved him dearly. God took a bright light way to soon from this earth. I weep for your loss and all that you still had to share with this earth...kindness, love, understanding, adventure, and helping others. Continue to share your light into your new adventure. My deepest sympathy to your family. God´s speed sweet Miguel.

Miguel was brought into my life for a short period of time but the first day I met him I knew that God had put love for him into my heart he meant so much to me he was so smart, funny and so adorably handsome. I had a great time knowing him, he was like my son we had great conversations and talk about anything. he will always be in my life forever this is very hard for me I will miss you terribly and my life will be forever changed by you. I´m sorry Justin for your loss and I´m sorry to the parents of Miguel I never met you but he talked about you both and loved you so much.

We will always carry Miguel in our hearts. He brought so much joy into our lives and home. We enjoyed babysitting for him. Sweetest little boy and so incredibly smart. We remember watching 101 Dalmatians and Captain Hook with him when he was two years old. He knew all of the characters by name in both the movies......I couldn't remember them so he had to keep telling me. We will miss you Miguel. One day when our life journey is complete we will see you again......
