Miguel Gonzalez, 47, died peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025.
He was a caring partner, father, brother, uncle and friend. Mr. Gonzalez was born in Newark, New Jersey. He attended Essex County Vocational & Technical High School.
After high school, he worked and mastered his skills as a Mechanical Engineer. He continued his career in construction and worked for many years as an apartment complex and hotel maintenance supervisor.
Miguel loved playing Pool and even won 2 tournaments. He also was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bulls and the NY Mets. He enjoyed listening to music and also played the trumpet in High School and in a band.
He was predeceased by his mother, Nilda Gonzalez, father, Miguel Maldonado, brothers; Jose Gonzales, Jose (Junior) Nieves, and a baby daughter, Gabriella.
Miguel is survived by his partner/fiance, Nicole DeSorbo, two sons; Michael Louro Gonzalez and Aiden Michael Gonzalez, three daughters; Elliana Renee Nilda, Gabriella Marie and Madelyn Rose. He is also survived by two brothers; Orlando Gonzales and David Nieves and five sisters; Martha Diaz, Carmen Cuevas, Judith Maldonado-Gonzalez, Jacqueline Maldonado – Andino and Marilyn Maldonado.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation Monday, June 16 from 5:00pm-9:00pm.
The Funeral will take place Tuesday, June 17 from 9:00am- 9:30am.
A Mass will take place at St. Michael's Church Tuesday, June 17 at 10:00am.
Internment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
